16. Plant a garden
17. Learn to sew/use a sewing machine

Weekend Recap

This weekend was fun! Corby and I were treated to a nice lunch and tickets to see Guys and Dolls (courtesy of the Dallas Summer Musicals) thanks to one of his sweet clients!! It was so much fun and I loveeee musicals and all things Broadway, so this was right up my alley! Hubby even liked the show!! Win!

The show was amazing! Up next is Hairspray, West Side Story {looove} and Legally Blonde! YAY! Can't wait!

hubs and i on our way to Dallas

unfortunately the only pictures I took this weekend.

Other news.... TCBY just opened up by our house. And let me tell you. If you don't know the wonder that is TCBY... Ooohhh you are missing out! I know there are fro-yo places EVERYWHERE, but to me, nothing compares to TCBY!!

This girl is giddy with excitement! Their white chocolate mousse is to.die.for. {YUM!}

There was a TCBY by my house growing up and it closed about eight years ago. (Sad day) I thought they went out of business... I mean those peeps knew me by name!

Sad?

Maybe.

heaven in a cup. no lie

The rest of our weekend was pretty low key. Sunday morning we went to church and Sunday school then to lunch with our Sunday school class. We are so blessed with sweet friends! Then we headed to the mall and hubs and I both got some new shoes. YAY!

my new sandals. love them.

By the time we got home on Sunday afternoon, we snuggled on the couch and watched a movie.

If you have not seen this. do it. HILARIOUS!

What did you do this weekend??

New Obsession

Yes... Many of you already know about the great thing that is Pinterest. **LOVE** Well it's my newest obsession. I could spend hours looking and pinning. I even had a dream about Pinterest the other night. Ridic? Maybe.

You can follow me on Pinterest here.

Some of my favorite pins recently....

This craft room makes me SOO happy!
I will be painting my own curtains very soon.
I adore this. This is so true.
LOOOVE this dress
I could so get ready everyday in this bathroom. Scratch that. I'd never leave that tub.
One day, I'll have a front porch like this.
Seriously, if you have not found the wonder that is Pinterest, do it. Or maybe don't. It's addicting! :)

Fourth of July Mixed Berry Trifle

I made this for a 4th of July party last night. It's so yummy, but still relatively healthy! Double win!!

Ingredients:

10 oz angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 pints strawberries, sliced
2 pints blueberries
6 tbsp fat-free sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups cold water
1 package sugar-free white chocolate instant pudding mix
12 oz fat-free frozen whipped topping, thawed

Directions:

Whisk the condensed milk and water in a bowl. Whisk in the pudding mix for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set; fold in the whipped topping.

Arrange half of the cake in the bottom of a 14-cup trifle dish. Sprinkle evenly with a layer of blueberries. Spread half of the cream mixture over the blueberries and gently spread (I piped it using a plastic bag and cut the corner off). Top with a layer of strawberries. Layer the remaining cake cubes on top of the strawberries, then add more blueberries and top with the remaining cream mixture. Finish with the remaining strawberries and blueberries, arranging them in a pretty pattern. Cover and refrigerate at least one 1 hour.

Enjoy!!
