Friday Randoms

Ohh my word, ya'll. I have never been so happy to see Friday!
I had myself completely convinced that yesterday was Friday. Talk about a let down.

I was running late this morning (per usual) and I didn't get a chance to stop for coffee. And I am draggggging!

Here's a few randoms for your Friday...

1. Hubs and I have been saving to buy a new TV for our living room. So last night, we took the plunge and are the proud new owners of a 55" (ridiculous, yes) Panasonic smart TV. Hello Netflix and 3D movies!

2. I have an unhealthy obsession with cupcakes.
Growing up, my favorite cakes were red velvet and funfetti...

You know... This stuff?
Well, I still love this stuff, but I refuse to make cake from a box. So I made funfetti cupcakes from scratch!
Delicious, I tell ya!

Because I'm a bad baker, I forgot to take pictures. Blogger fail.

3. We have nothing planned for this weekend. NOTHING!
And I cannot wait!

Speaking of this weekend, Corby's little brother turns 14 tomorrow! I cannot believe he is 14 and about to be a freshman in high school!
{Happy Birthday, Layne!!}
Corby, Layne and Brad (this was a few years ago, Layne was 11 I think)
4. Opening day for my Texas Rangers is one week from today!!
Holy cow, I'm so excited!! LOVE me some baseball season!!

5. I'm kind of obsessed with Justin Bieber's new song "Boyfriend"
I think he's channeling my inner 12-year-old by sounding just like Justin Timberlake!

6. I'm in desperate need of new running shoes. I have high arches so I will definitely need supportive shoes. Any suggestions? I'm by no means a runner, but the tennis shoes I have now are super uncomfortable when I run/walk for any sort of distance.

Some of the shoes I'm considering:
Mizuno Wave Rider
ASICS Nimbus
Brooks Adrenaline GTS
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Sorry about the randomness today.
Have a happy weekend! The weather here is going to be beautiful! Sunny and mid 80's! Ahhh perfection!

I love my Mizunos, but I've heard that Brooks are better for arch support.

I will never wear another brand besides Mizunos! They're amazing! I just wnat to bounch and run when i have them on, esp a new pair!! Brooks are great too though...I'm pretty picky so I try on umpteen pair when i'm due for a new pair!

Getting new tennis' is the BEST! It totally makes me want to get new gym clothes and run!

I run in Saucony's, but I would suggest going to Run On or Luke's Locker to get fitted into the perfect pair based on how you run. Happy running, friend!

I used to run in Mizunos and really liked them, until they changed the shoe a little bit. I also wear SuperFeet inserts which are amazing. I would definitely recommend getting fitted by a professional. Also, see if you can run in them for a few days and if they don't work, return them. The place where I buy my shoes has that policy and it has come in handy on more than one occasion!

I am so jealous of your new TV! Also, I need new running shoes too. My current ones are super uncomfy :(

I love my Saucony's. I have to have good arch support and they generally fit my needs. Although, they usually have only a select few choices so some seasons are a no go, but most of the time I find ones that work great!

I have ran all 6 of my half marathon's in Mizuno's so I love those! But, they are not for everyone.
And I am slightly obsessed with "Boyfriend" too! :)

I have run in all of those shoes, but you should go to a real running store (not box store) and they will fit you for shoes. This is important if you have high arches!
