Finally Friday

It's Friday... Thank goodness!

Yesterday was the longest day ever.
Ever.

I was in Dallas for software training from 9:00 - 4:00. At 4:00 I got in my truck to head back to Fort Worth and I completely forgot the Rangers played at 1:00 yesterday afternoon. I ended up stuck in bad HORRIBLE traffic in Arlington from the Rangers game. At about 5:15, I had made it about 6 miles (awesome) and I noticed that the AC in my truck had stopped working, so I looked down at the dashboard and my truck was overheating. In the middle of I-30 in traffic that wasn't moving...

This was about what 30 looked like....
Soo.. What did I do? Completely panic!
I called Corby.. FIVE times and he didn't answer his phone.
Insert tears.
I called my daddy because I didn't know what to do.
He told me to do whatever I could to either get off the highway or get over to the shoulder and turn off my truck. Exiting the highway wasn't an option. I was in the far left lane and the next exit was 2.5 miles away and at the rate traffic was moving, that could have taken me another hour. So, I finally forced my way through the HOV lane to the left shoulder.

I finally got a hold of Corby and he finally made it to me by about 6:45. He let me drive his truck and he took mine and we got off the highway and put some radiator fluid in my truck and I finally made it home by 8:00 pm last night. It took me 4 hours to get home. Ugh.

Anyhoo...

At 2:00 this afternoon, hubs and I are headed to Austin, Texas for a big surprise!
{I'll explain more in detail on Monday}

Lake Travis here we come!

I cannot wait to be on the lake again! Ahhhh summer, I can almost feel you! :)

Unfortunately, our weekend will be cut short. We will have to turn around and head home tomorrow afternoon so Corby can work all day on Sunday since the tax deadline is coming up on Tuesday.

Do you have any big weekend plans?
Happy Friday :)
