As I said on Friday, Corby and I were headed to Lake Travis (in Austin) for the weekend.
Well... The occasion?
My best friend, Shelly, got engaged on Friday night!

And it was a HUGE surprise!
Brian, her
fiancée, invited both of their families and all of their closest friends to join in on the celebration!
Shelly was completely clueless. It was perfection!
Brian rented a house on Lake Travis for the weekend. We all met at the house between 6:00 and 8:00 pm on Friday night. Shelly and Brian arrived at the house about 8:30. Shelly thought they were coming to the house for a wine tasting {there is a small winery just up the road from the house}.
It was kinda perfect.
And Shelly was genuinely surprised.
Well done, Brian, well done.

On a completely unrelated note... I started reading Fifty Shades of Grey Saturday night. I finished it yesterday and I'm already 5 chapters into Fifty Shades Darker. I am hooked! These are not books that I would typically read. I do love me a good romance novel, but these are definitely a little more... Shall we say... Erotic? I'm blushing just typing this. But regardless... I can't put the books down!

I loved the books too! I was kind of embarrassed to tell people I read them but you're right, once you start reading you can't stop!
