Motivation & Encouragement

Happy Monday, ya'll!
This girl is TIRED.

Our weekend started out lazy, but turned crazy.
One of Corby's clients had a massive heart attack on Friday and is basically on life support now. I don't know this family very well, but Corby does everything for them so this has been hard on him.

Corby had a blowout on Friday and his spare isn't the same size as his massive truck tires, so he had my truck all weekend driving back and forth to the hospital and running errands. And I've been stuck at home all weekend without a vehicle. So what did I do? I read. Two books in less than 24 hours.

Slammed and Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover
It's a two book series and I couldn't put them down!
You can read the book description here.

Also, I joined Weight Watchers yesterday.
I am excited, nervous, and terrified all at the same time.
I'm tired of gaining weight. And I'm tired of seeing pictures of myself a realizing I look like a whale. So I'm doing something about it. I'm doing WW Online. I don't have time to go to a meeting every week.
I'm still trying to figure everything out, but today is my first day keeping track of points.

Corby and I are going to start working out 3-4 days a week. Ideally, 3 days during the week and one day on the weekend. We got up at 5:30 this morning and hit the gym. I completed day one of the Couch to 5K program. I honestly have no desire to run a 5K, but it's place to start.

Here's some various workouts that I plan to try:

And, I am going to regularly post my weekly meal plans. I know it's not the most interesting thing to blog about, but it will help to keep me accountable.
Here's this weeks meal plan:

Monday: Tilapia, Broccoli & Red Potatoes (5 points)

Tuesday: Herb Crusted Pork Chops (5 points)

Wednesday: Sausage Stuffed Zucchini Boats (4 points)

Thursday: Grilled Chicken Bruschetta (6 points)

Friday: Chicken and White Bean Enchiladas (5 points)

Saturday: Shrimp and Zucchini Pasta (9 points)

So that's where I stand as of today.
Any words of advice for Weight Watchers are greatly appreciated!

{I feel like this was the longest post ever. Sorry!}

Hope your weekend was fabulous!!

YAY!!! We can do it!! =) So happy you joined!
And these recipes look delicous!! I am going to have to print these and start making them. I am having a little trouble with lunch I have noticed. I am not a huge salad fan so I am having to get creative to keep the points down. I am doing the Couch to 5k plan too!! Whohooo!

Good for you, girl!!

Couch to 5k is awesome, even if you aren't running a race but it may be a good motivator!! I am doing my very last day of it tonight and running a 5k this weekend! It works!

You can do it Lia!!! I did WW a couple years ago and when I stuck to my points, I definitely noticed a weight loss each week. I just absolutely HATED counting, so I stopped. It definitely puts portion sizes into perspective though!

You will do great! Just stick with it!! You'll learn really quickly about the points and what is good to eat and whats bad! The first week was the hardest for me becuase I had to learn all of that!!

Good Luck girlfriend!! And just for encouragement! Ive only been doing it for a week and a half and Ive already lost 6 lbs.
