Weekend + Instagram + Blog Support

Happy Monday, friends!
This time, next week, it will be Christmas Eve! And that is just so crazy!

This weekend's recap will take approximately 5 words:
It was an uneventful weekend.

Really, Corby went to the farm to hunt with his dad and brothers. I was going to go, but decided last minute that I needed to run some errands and start preparing for a week of traveling. But, Corby got a nice deer! So it was a great weekend!

If you follow me on twitter/instagram, then you know that I've been done with my Christmas shopping for weeks. There is a reason that I hate last minute shopping! Every one and their mom is out trying to get their shopping done. So WHY do men always wait until the very last minute? My dad called me on Friday and asked me to help him shop for my mom for Christmas. How can I say no?

So Saturday, I, along with 246,872 other people, headed to the mall. It was seriously my nightmare. Big crowds give me anxiety. Ugh! But I got my dad's shopping done!

I also went to Ulta and Trader Joe's on Saturday. Ulta is always crazy when a 20% off coupon is about to expire, but add Christmas shoppers and it was just unreal...
{the line to check out at Ulta. there are about 15 other people you can't see}

And I found these gems at TJ's. In love.

That pretty much sums up our weekend.

Now for an Instagram photo dump.

5. Christmas prezzies = done!
6. Christmas sparkle nails.
7. Trying new eyeshadow combinations with the Naked palette.
8. Saturday's OOTD. That sparkle sweatshirt is from Loft.

Last thing today....

To the Blog World,

On Friday, tragedy struck our country. An elementary school and small town in Connecticut was shattered by a mass shooting. As bloggers, we can help!

On Tuesday, December 18th, there will be a blogger day of silence.
We will post the button and that's it. Please try to not post anything else that day if possible.

We are also raising money that will go to an organization in the memory of this tragedy. The organization is called The Newtown Family Youth and Family Services. Here is the official description of the support service we are donating to:

"Newtown Youth and Family Services, Inc. is a licensed, non-profit, mental health clinic and youth services bureau dedicated to helping children and families achieve their highest potential. NYFS provides programs, services, activities, counseling, support groups and education throughout the Greater Newtown area.

Please visit THIS PAGE to make your donation.

We can't imagine how they must be feeling, especially this close to the holidays. We would love for you to spread the word on your own blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Let's make a difference and use our blogging voices to spread love, hope and our prayers to all those who were directly effected from this tragedy. Thank you in advance for participating and God bless.

I finished Christmas shopping a while ago, but I actually like being out at the mall during the crazy Christmas shopping season. I just like watching all the people and craziness and having no need to wait in line! :P
