Recent Reads + Randoms

TGIF my friends!
This week could not have gone any slower!

First things first...
My recent reads. Last year I was a reading machine (48 books total for 2012)
I've started out this year much slower than last.
But here's what I've been reading as of late.

Flat Out Love
by: Jessica Park
Read the Amazon description here.
My thoughts... This book was completely different than I expected. Better than I expected. It's a bit of an atypical love story. The characters are very lovable and the story is endearing. The story is very well developed and kept me wanting more. It's an easy read that I highly recommend.

by: Alice Clayton
Read the Amazon description here.
My thoughts.... I can't say enough good things about this book. It's near the top of my list as one of my favorites that I've ever read. Alice Clayton's writing is perfect. And girlfriend is HILARIOUS! I found myself laughing out loud (literally) many times while reading this book. I could not put this book down! I highly recommend it. Extremely entertaining. I will definitely be reading other books by Alice Clayton.

Reflected in You
by: Sylvia Day
Read the Amazon description here
My thoughts... This is the 2nd book in the Crossfire series. I really enjoyed this book. It was powerful and it kept me engrossed. This series is pretty similar to the Fifty Shades of Grey series and I have to say that if I had to pick between the two, Fifty Shades would be my choice. I think I would feel differently if I'd read the Crossfire series first. But overall, it's still a great series.

Up next on my "to read" list....
by: Colleen Hoover
I loved Colleen Hoover's Slammed series. LOVED them. So I am so excited to read this book. Here's the description from Amazon:
Sometimes discovering the truth can leave you more hopeless than believing the lies...

That's what Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her she's never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried memories from a past she wishes could just stay buried.

Sky struggles to keep him at a distance knowing he's nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky soon finds that Holder isn't at all who he's been claiming to be. When the secrets he's been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky's life will change forever.

Now for the randomess...
- My bff Amanda got us tickets to see Randy Rogers, Martina McBride and GEORGE STRAIT at the rodeo in March. I can't wait! George Strait is the epitome of country music. And seeing him live is on my bucket list.

- My first love {Justin Timberlake} has finally announced his return to music!
Step aside, Bieber! The original is back!

- Now that I'm back in a routine, I'm finally starting to meal plan again! I'll be sure to share any new recipes that I love!

Happy weekend, loves!

Hopeless was a great book! I've heared really good things about Wallbanger too - and it's on my read-list right now - especially after you hyped it up too.

I have Flat Out Love on my kindle but haven't read it yet. I got it when it was on sale for like $1! I read Hopeless and loved it!

Flat Out Love is next on my list!!! I liked Reflected In You but I feel like it was so drawn out and almost predictable towards the end, but whatever I still can't wait for the next one haha. And I'm FINALLY reading Gone Girl! I love it! But it really bothers me that Nick calls his sister Go. That's just so bizarre to me haha
