Hi girls!
I'm finally linking up with Katie and Steph for their Saw it, Pinned it, Did it link up!
I've been a total slacker in the craft department lately...
And I actually made this wreath last year for Valentine's Day, I just never posted it.
Here's the original pin. (tutorial here)
What you'll need:
- Straw wreath
- Base ribbon (1.5 - 2" thick)
- Loop ribbons (and LOTS of it!)

- Hot glue gun and lots of glue sticks
- Patience
Start out by wrapping your wreath with the base ribbon. As you can see below, I ran out of this ribbon, so there are some spots on the back that you can see the straw wreath. But no one sees the back of the wreath, so I don't really care. Be sure to hot glue the ribbon in place.
Then cut all of your "loop" ribbon in 4.5" strips. I used 1/2", 7/8" and 1" ribbon for this. I used 12 rolls of coordinating ribbon. I bought them all 50% off at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. (I think my favorite is the glitter ribbon!)
The original tutorial says to sew the ribbon into loops, leaving a 1/4" section at the bottom (see above). That is the part of the ribbon that you'll use to attach the loops to the wreath. At the time, I didn't have a sewing machine. And I wasn't about to hand sew each of these ribbons. So I hot glued each loop. It took FOREVER. I highly recommend a sewing machine!
Once you have all of your ribbon loops made, start hot gluing them to the wreath. Be sure to alternate ribbons to create the random/mismatched look. Once you're done, be sure to go back and fill in any open places with ribbon!
{Disclaimer: you will most likely burn your fingers multiple times.}
I absolutely LOVE how it turned out.
Don't forget to link up!

I love this! And I kind of think that yours is actually cuter than the pin! Maybe it's the sparkly ribbon :)
OHHHH my gosh! I am IN LOVE with this wreath! It is so cute! It does seem like it'd take forever though, lol. Do you have an "estimate" of maybe the total time you spent on it?
